The holy shrine of Amarnath Ji, or Amarnath Temple, is located at an elevation of 3,888 meters approx, about 29 kilometers from Pahalgam. Inside the cave is a Shiva Lingam (a phallus shaped formation made of ice), considered to be the most holy symbol by Hindus all across the globe. Devotees visit it in large numbers from June to August, with the pilgrimage tour famously known as Amarnath Yatra, which begins from Chandanwari. It is considered to be one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas, or the holiest shrines in Hinduism. Besides seeking blessings at the Amarnath Temple, the views surrounding it are extraordinary.
Inside these caves, there is a spike formed due to icy water that drops from the roof of the cave and people believe that it is the
idol of Lord Shiva which is in the form of Linga and worships it. The discovery of Amarnath cave is also very interesting. It was a shepherd who discovered the cave in the 15 th century when almost everyone forgot about it in middle age.Reaching the cave is a challenging task as the route is fully occupied with mountains and stones. Throughout the way, some non-profit organizations supply food and accommodate pilgrims in tents for free of cost.
Pilgrims are not allowed to begin their yatra until they register online in Amarnath online registration. They are also advised to go through a medical checkup before they start their yatra. Devotees who travel to get blessings of Lord Shiva, return with a spiritual impact on their minds.

ITINERARY-:
Day 1:SRINAGAR – SONMARG
On our very first day of the tour we reach Srinagar airport. Our executives will assist you from here and transfer you to Sonmarg. We check in at our hotel / deluxe tent here followed by welcome drinks and snacks. In the evening we leave for Thajewas Glacier. We come back to our hotel in Sonmarg for dinner and a stay overnight. Day 2: SONMARG – HOLY CAVE – SRINAGAR
After having breakfast early in the morning, we will move from Sonmarg to Baltal. From here we move for our onward journey to the holy caves via helicopter from Baltal helipad. After the ‘darshan’ of the deity we come back to Sonmarg.
The official timings of operation of the helicopter are between 6AM to 5 PM and it usually takes 2 to 4 hours for ‘darshan’. On reaching Sonmarg after the ‘darshan’ you will meet our executive, who will then transfer you from Baltal to Srinagar by road in our own vehicle. On reaching Srinagar you will check in to your hotel / deluxe houseboat for dinner and a stay overnight.

Day 3: SRINAGAR
After a sumptuous breakfast you are free to explore the city on your own for some time till your departure from Srinagar. We will then leave for Srinagar airport for your onward journey to next destination.

- All pilgrims/travellers intending to avail helicopter services for Amarnath Yatra are required to furnish a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) for each individual, duly issued by authorized doctors/institutions, as per instructions laid down by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). The list of authorized doctors/institutions is made available on the official website well in time before the commencement of advance bookings.
